HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- A strike team from several Bergen and Passaic law enforcement agencies on Wednesday night arrested a Wanaque man charged with robbing a Hasbrouck Heights liquor store -- and suspected in holdups in Palisades Park and Clifton on the same day, authorities told Daily Voice overnight Thursday.

Robert Kostadinovski, 25, was being held on $250,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail after authorities seized him at his Haskell home at 9:15 p.m.

They recovered an imitation handgun -- for which he was charged along with robbery and theft in the May 13 holdup of Liquor Master on southbound Route 17, Hasbrouck Heights Detective Lt. Michael Colaneri told Daily Voice.

Detectives from other agencies were preparing charges of their own, he said.

They include investigators from Palisades Park, where a gunman driving a BMW convertible similar to Kostadinovski's (see photos above) assaulted a borough gas station attendant while robbing $900 on May 11.

Hours earlier, a Delta gas station on westbound Route 46 in Clifton was held up.

Hasbrouck Heights police investigating the $580 liquor store robbery by a man with a handgun contacted their colleagues in Palisades Park and Clifton, Detective Lt. Michael Colaneri told Daily Voice.

A multi-jurisdictional investigation followed involving investigators from Clifton, Wayne, Passaic, Wayne and Palisades Park, as well as the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office, Colaneri said.

After developing a new lead, Hasbrouck Heights police obtained a search warrant for Kostadinovski's Crescent Lane home and car, the lieutenant said. All of the involved agencies participated in Wednesday night's arrest, he said.

Wayne police arrested the 5-foot-8-inch, 185-pound Kostadinovski on charges of prescription fraud in 2010, records show.
