No injuries were reported in the 2:45 p.m. fire, which responders said began on the second floor in back of the two-story, peaked-roof house on Williams Avenue.

A caller initially gave an incorrect address, but firefighters were quick to the scene and had the blaze under control in a matter of minutes, Detective Lt. Michael Colaneri told Daily Voice.

"A very aggressive attack kept the fire from spreading," 2nd Assistant Fire Chief Rob Knoblock said. "Outstanding job."

A resident who at first was thought inside wasn't home, responders said.
