HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J. -- Catherine R. (Fitzgerald) Meindl -- a Washington Township resident, formerly of Hasbrouck Heights -- died on Monday, April 18. She was 83.
Born in New York City, Meindl was an administrator for Bergen County Workforce Development, in Hackensack, before she retired.
She is survived by her sons, Bob Meindl and his wife Betsy of Massachusetts, and David Meindl and his wife Carolyn of Hillsdale; siblings Ronald, Maureen and Richard Fitzgerald, and Lorraine Decker; grandchildren Christopher, Daniel and Andrea Meindl, Shawn and Caitlyn Meindl, and Kristen and Michael Vogt; and many nieces and nephews.
Meindl was predeceased by her husband, Robert Meindl; daughter Maureen "Rena" Vogt; and parents Ronald and Catherine Fitzgerald.
Visiting hours will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, April 21, at Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard and Central Ave., in Hasbrouck Heights. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Park Cemetery, in Hackensack.
