Offered by the Safe Tree Commission, the program helps residents replace or repair sidewalks that are broken due to Village shade tree roots.

Residents interested in the program can obtain forms at Town Hall and return to the Safe Tree Commission in order to receive an inspection.

Currently, there is a waiting list but residents should submit their applications now because work is done according to the date the application is received.

All reimbursable work must first be approved by a Safe Tree Commission member and the work completed by an approved contractor.

Property owners will not be reimbursed for work done without pre-approval by STC or by a contractor who is not STC approved. Property owners are required to pay the contractor and then submit the invoice to the STC for reimbursement.

Residents are also asked to remember not to attach signs or any kind to the Village shade trees.
