D'Angeli -- a village native who's dedicated himself to "saving the planet one bat at a time" -- will lead an outdoor bat walk and discuss how the winged creatures help control mosquitoes.
The free rain-or-shine event, hosted by the Ridgefield Park Environmental Commission, begins at 7 p.m. at Ridgefield Park High School.
D'Angeli, who founded the Wildlife Conservation and Education Center in the village, participates in "Batstock" events in various towns each year to raise awareness leading up to National Bat Month in October.
“I took to bats when I was very young," he told Daily Voice last year. "[T]hey’re so mysterious and associated with Batman.
"Everything aligned itself perfectly for the animal I fell in love with and am lucky enough to be able to work with.”
Donations collected at Batstock will go to research efforts, local bat rehabilitation and the conservation.
