Hasbrouck Heights Opens Special Needs Recreation To All

HASBROUCK HEIGHTS, N.J.– People with special needs are invited to a Hasbrouck Heights recreation group that meets on Wednesday nights.

Outdoor activities will be featured at the Hasbrouck Heights Special Needs Recreation Group that meets at Woodland Park starting Aug. 31 from 6:30-7:15 p.m.

The 45-minute sessions are open to special needs boys and girls ages 5 to 21. Children will be supervised, but parents are asked to stay.

Children can walk, stretch and play a game or other activity, under the direction of Jamie Woyce, a special education teacher at Cliffside Park Middle School.

This is the fourth year for the program, which is open to non-residents as well.

The cost is $40 for Hasbrouck Heights residents and $75 for non-residents.
