A wanted man in Cape May County was accused of having drugs, a knife, and a pistol-style BB gun, authorities said. Jonathan Duerr, 30, of Wildwood, was arrested on Sunday, Apr. 14, the Wildwood Police Department said in a news release on Tuesday, Apr. 16. His arrest came while officers were investigating a burglary at a home on the 200 block of East Cresse Avenue at around 9:45 p.m. Police spotted Duerr near the corner of Oak Avenue and the city's boardwalk, and he was identified as the burglary suspect. A Pennsylvania man will spend at least two decades in prison for killing two people during an illegal car rally in Wildwood, authorities said. Gerald White, 38, of Pittsburgh, was sentenced on Thursday, Feb. 8 to 25 years in prison, for killing two people at the violent H2oi car rally in 2022, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland announced. White has a long history of traffic violations in New Jersey, dating back to 2005. Yet another arrest has been made in the deadly H2oi meetup held last month in Wildwood and authorities say more could be on the way. Zion Diaz, of Hammonton, told others to block intersections, perform "burnouts" and block police vehicles from responding to emergency calls the night of Sept. 24, Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey H. A 22-year-old man from Linden has been arrested in connection with a golf cart crash that left a 31-year-old dad hurt during the H2oi weekend meet-up in Wildwood, authorities said. Eryk R. Hearts shattered when the news broke that a missing swimmer off the Wildwood coast from Pennsylvania was believed to have drowned late last month. A 6-year-old boy drowned in a Wildwood hotel pool over the Fourth of July weekend. Police responded to Beachside Resort on Atlantic Avenue for a possible drowning with CPR in progress around 6:30 p.m. July 3, the Wildwood police and fire departments said in a joint police.
