Toms River Pedestrian, 61, Airlifted After Being Struck By Car A 61-year-old pedestrian from Toms River was critically hurt when he was struck by a car while crossing the road, authorities said. On Monday at 4:58 p.m.,  police were dispatched to the intersection of Vaughn and Windsor avenues for a reported pedestrian struck. Carl Cereghini, 61 of Toms River, entered the roadway in an attempt to cross when he was struck by a vehicle traveling north on Vaughn Avenue, police said.
