Billhimer, as a result of a previously entered guilty plea to death by auto. Prosecutor: Ocean County Man, 56, Admits Fatal Alcohol-Involved Crash A 56-year-old man from the Jersey Shore has admitted to fatally rear-ending another motorist from Toms River in an alcohol-related crash, authorities said. Douglas Thompson of Jackson, pleaded guilty to death by auto on Thursday, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer. Thompson entered his plea before Superior Court Judge Guy P. Ryan. Jackson Motorist Indicted In DWI Death Of Toms River Man A 55-year-old man from Jackson was indicted for vehicular homicide Wednesday in connection with a fatal car accident last fall. Douglas Thompson's charges stem from an Oct. 15, 2019, drunk driving crash that killed Thomas Marciano, 65, of Toms River, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer. Marciano was stopped behind another vehicle making a left-hand turn near Route 9 and Stevens Road when his car was struck from behind by a vehicle operated by Thompson, police said.  Marciano was transported to Community Medical Center and subsequently flown to Jersey …
