Man Killed When Car Crashes Into Tree In Stafford Township
A Pemberton Township man died when his car crashed into a tree in Ocean County, authorities said. Stafford Township police responded to the wreck on County Route 539 near milepost 11.5 at around 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Apr. 2, the department said in a news release. Investigators said 30-year-old Gogi Jailava of Browns Mills was driving south when he lost control of his 2008 Toyota Yaris. His car left the road and hit a tree. A 27-year-old motorcyclist from Ocean County was killed when he attempted to pass another vehicle, lost control and struck a tree, authorities said. Robert Trout, of the Lanoka Harbor section of Lacey Township, died in the crash on Wednesday, Sept. 20, Manchester police said. A 30-year-old man from Ocean County has been indicted in connection with the death of his 6-year-old son, authorities said. Christopher Gregor, of Monroe Township, was indicted by a Grand Jury sitting in Ocean County on a murder charge in connection with the death on April 2, 2021, at Southern Ocean Medical Center in the Manahawkin section of Stafford Township, authorities said. On Monday, May 2, at 9:40 p.m., Stafford police responded to a collision on Route 72 westbound near the Garden State Parkway. A 59-year-old woman was killed in a two-car crash on the Jersey Shore, authorities said. On Sunday, Feb. 20 at 3:53 p.m., Barnegat police responded to Barnegat Boulevard North and Cole Drive for a report of a motor vehicle crash. Police found the driver of one of the vehicles, Alice Toriello, 59, of Barnegat unconscious and unresponsive.
