Three Teens Crashed Stolen Vehicle In Atlantic City: Police Three teens from Galloway were accused of crashing a stolen vehicle in Atlantic City, authorities said. The boys were arrested on Friday, Apr. 19, the Atlantic City Police Department said in a news release on Monday, Apr. 22. The teens are 17, 16, and 15 years old. The city's automatic license plate reader system detected that a vehicle stolen from Neptune entered Atlantic City from Route 30 at around 4:51 p.m. Officers tried to stop the vehicle but the driver sped away and the pursuit was ended "due to the safety of the public." Busy Atlantic City Bridge To Be Closed Overnight Next Week A busy bridge in Atlantic City will be periodically closed overnight next week as part of a major construction project. Crews for the state Department of Transportation (NJDOT) will work on the Route 30 drawbridge over Beach Thorofare from Monday, Feb. 26 to Friday, Mar. 1, the Atlantic City Police Department said. The bridge will be raised for 30 minutes an hour between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. each day. State police will be near the construction area to help with lane closures. Motorcyclist Killed In Atlantic City Crash: Police A 61-year-old motorcyclist from Pleasantville was killed in a crash, authorities said. The crash occurred at 8:42 p.m. on Sunday, June 18 near mile marker 54 on the eastbound lanes of Route 30, Atlantic City police said. Police found that Pearl Matthew had been ejected from his seat. He was pronounced dead at the crash scene. A preliminary investigation, that included witness statements, revealed that Matthews left the roadway and struck a pole.
