Popular One-Eyed Seal Dies At Jenkinson's Aquarium Fans of a beloved one-eyed seal named Luseal are mourning her death on the Jersey Shore. "We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our adored harbor seal," Jenkinson's Aquarium announced on Facebook.  Lucy was a local having been stranded in the Point Pleasant Canal. After being deemed nonreleasable, she became part of Jenkinson’s Aquarium in July 1991.  Passing at the age of 34, Lucy surpassed the average life expectancy of her wild cousins by more than a decade, the Facebook post said, adding "During this time, she captured the hearts of all."
