New Year's Eve Blaze Claims Everything Including Pets From South Jersey Family A family from Burlington County lost everything including their pets when their home burned on New Year's Eve, according to a GoFundMe campaign. The fire at the Chilkotowsky home in Tabernacle started on Dec. 30 and continued burning into Dec. 31, according to the Tabernacle Fire Department. Crews arrived on Quint 4314 and completed interior operations, fire officials said on Facebook. "With the assistance of multiple neighboring agencies we were able to keep a majority of the fire damage to the room of origin," firefighters said. South Jersey Cat Gets Old Life Back Thanks To Microchip A cat that went missing for two years in Burlington County was reunited with his rightful owner this week thanks to animal rescue workers -- and a microchip.  A Mount Laurel resident found Alexander and brought the cat to the Burlington County Animal Shelter on March 9.  Shelter staff discovered that the frightened cat was microchipped, according to the Animal Welfare Association in Voorhees, Camden County.
