Three People Displaced, Firefighter Injured In Ocean City House Fire Three people were without a home and a firefighter was injured after a house caught fire in Ocean City, officials said. Ocean City firefighters responded to the fire on the 1400 block of Simpson Avenue at around 4:46 p.m. on Monday, Apr. 15, the city said in a news release. Crews arrived within three minutes and found a large fire on the building's second floor. Marmora and Margate City firefighters also helped out the Ocean City Fire Department. Crews responded to the fire at a home on Bergen Avenue at around 2:04 p.m. on Saturday, Mar. 9, the Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention said in a news release. Firefighters Quickly Douse Blaze On Jersey Shore A family safely escaped a house fire in Howell, but a firefighter was injured, authorities said. The fire broke out at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 9 at 948 Route 33, Howell police said. A 9-1-1 call was placed by an Eatontown firefighter who observed smoke coming from the residence. Upon arrival of the responding patrol officers, all occupants of the home were already safely evacuated, police said. 35 Tenants Displaced In Edison Apartment Fire An apartment house fire in Edison destroyed 11 apartments, ousting at least 35 tenants from their units, authorities said.
