Overheated Pit Bull Rescued In Brick By Police, Firefighters Brick police and Herbertsville firefighters rescued a neglected pit bill from a balcony where the temperature was in excess of 110 degrees, authorities said. A neighbor called Brick police about 4:10 p.m. on Sunday to complain that a dog had been outside on a third-floor balcony in direct sun for several hours, police said in a statement. Upon their arrival at 252 Sawmill Road, Brick Police Officers Scott Smith and Joe Lardieri found a pit bull dog panting heavily, barking and in distress.
