Jersey Shore Zoo Closes After Duck, Goose Die Of Bird Flu A duck and a goose died and tested positive for bird flu at an animal refuge this week. Popcorn Park Animal Refuge in Lacey will remain closed through Friday as a precaution, officials said on Tuesday, Oct. 25. Popcorn Park was closed Monday and will remain closed “to fully sanitize and manage the situation for future exposure,” the zoo said in a statement.
