South Jersey Dealer Gets 10 Years For Selling Fatal Mix Of Heroin, Fentanyl: Prosecutor
A 56-year-old man from Galloway Township has been sentenced to 10 years in New Jersey state prison for selling a fatal overdose of heroin laced with fentanyl, authorities said. Brian Whitted was convicted for strict liability for a drug-related death in connection with the 2018 fatal overdose of 59-year-old Anthony Tamburelli, according to Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill. Whitted also pleaded guilty in March to conspiracy to distribute heroin with co-defendant Emery Chapman. A 56-year-old man from South Jersey has admitted to selling a fatal dose of heroin and fentanyl to a 59-year-old man, authorities said. Brian Whitted of Galloway Township pleaded guilty to strict liability for a drug related death and narcotics charges in connection to the 2018 fatal overdose of 59-year-old Anthony Tamburelli, according to Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Cary Shill. A 42-year-old man from Atlantic County has been detained in connection with the fatal drug overdose of a teenage father, authorities said. Freddie W.. Smith of Vineland was charged with first-degree strict liability for a drug induced death, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner said. On Friday, a judge granted the state's motion to detain Smith, Tyner said. South Jersey Man, 31, Gets 16 Years State Prison For Fleeing Atlantic City Police With Handgun
A 31 year-old man from Atlantic County has been sentenced to 16 years in state prison for fleeing police with an illegal handgun, authorities said. Jaime Cambrelen of Mays Landing pleaded guilty to first-degree unlawful possession of a handgun on Aug. 20 and was sentenced by Presiding Judge Bernard E. Delury, Jr. on Monday, according to Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner. Cambrelen must serve at least eight years in prison before he is eligible for parole, Tyner said.
