AMC Seacourt 10, will close on Sunday, Aug. 21, a movie worker told NJ Advance Media.

It's near the Ocean County Mall, at 635 Bay Ave. in the Seacourt Pavilion shopping center. Toms River's movie employees are being relocated to AMC's theater in Brick, the report says.

The 32-year-old AMC Seacourt theater’s lease is expiring, according to JerseyShoreOnline.com. It formerly was a Loews Theatre. Movie lovers got the chance to view Pretty Woman, Back to the Future III, Driving Miss Daisy, Glory, House Party, Hunt For Red October, Bird on A Wire, Cadillac Man, and Fire Birds when the Loews Seacourt 10 opened in 1990, the outlet said.

“AMC regularly evaluates its U.S. locations, as well as opportunities outside of its circuit, and makes decisions on a theater-by-theater basis based on what will best strengthen the company going forward,” AMC spokesperson Ryan Noonan told the Asbury Park Press.
