Sorority President, 'Selfless Leader' Dominique Franco Of Park Ridge Dies, 21 Dominique Franco of Park Ridge was on a mission to save the world. The senior University of Rhode Island nursing major was on track to a career in pediatric oncology. At 17, she launched a fundraiser that collected toys and hundreds of dollars for pediatric cancer patients. Franco's mission was tragically cut short on Saturday, when she died at 21 years old. Ridgewood Officer Reminds Parents To Hug Kids As His Baby Fights Cancer A pair of Ridgewood parents recently had their world turned upside down at the news that their son, Cole, was diagnosed with Stage 4 neuroblastoma. More than $58,00 had been raised as of Saturday afternoon on a GoFundMe for Cole's parents Kevin McKeon, a Ridgewood police officer, and his wife Stephanie of Waldwick. The parents said the diagnosis came as a complete shock to them as Cole showed no significant signs of being sick.
