Crashed, Burning Motorcycle Found On Garden State Parkway, Police Search For Rider WITNESSES SOUGHT: Authorities turned to the public for help finding the rider of a crashed, burning motorcycle that was found in the left lane of the southbound Garden State Parkway in Paramus early Monday night. The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. near mile marker 162.4, New Jersey State Police Sgt. First Class Lawrence Peele said Tuesday. Officers responding to the call found the motorcycle in flames, skid marks on the roadway and no rider. State Police: Driver Hospitalized After Running Honda Off Route 80 In Denville, Hitting Tree A Honda Civic driver was hospitalized after veering off Route 80 and hitting a tree in Denville Tuesday evening, state police said. The driver was traveling down Route 80 westbound when the vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree near milepost 38.4 just after 6:05 p.m., NJSP Trooper Lawrence Peele told Daily Voice. The driver was taken to Morristown Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, Peele said. No passengers were inside the vehicle, and no other cars were involved, authorities said. The cause of the crash remained under investigation.

The trooper was taken to Morristown Medical Center after the crash at 1 a.m. Sunday on Beaver Run Road in Lafayette, NJSP Sgt. Lawrence Peele said. Two people were on the vehicle, and both suffered minor injuries, Peele said.

5 Hospitalized In Route 80 Crash A driver and four passengers were hospitalized after their sedan crashed Saturday on Route 80, authorities said. The group was headed eastbound when the driver lost control of the Volkswagen Jetta in Totowa between the Minnisink and Squirrelwood road exits around 10:30 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Lawrence Peele said. The sedan slammed the left guard rail, injuring all of the occupants, Peele said. None of the injuries appeared life-threatening, he added. State Police were investigating, he said.

Maywood Woman, 41, Killed In Christmas Crash On NJ Turnpike A 41-year-old Maywood woman was killed in a crash on the NJ Turnpike overnight Christmas Eve, authorities said. Kelly Bey was behind the wheel of a Toyota Camry, and she stopped in the center lane near milepost 120 in Teaneck, when she was struck by a Lexus SUV just before 1 a.m. Friday, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Lawrence Peele said. Bey was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the Lexus sustained non-life-threatening injuries.  The cause of the crash remained under investigation as of 4:45 p.m. Friday.
