Wanaque Students Learn About Bullying Through Basketball

His approach reminded students to embrace who they are and accept others for who they are. Through music, basketball tricks and interactive games, students also experienced what it takes to be an "UPstander.”

Jones shares his high school experience that began with his decision to transfer from his home town high school and go outside his comfort zone to Akron where he attended St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. An unpopular decision back home, he became an easy target for cyber bullying on the local sports chat forums.

As challenging as the situation was for Jones, he found comfort in his new home in Akron and had an experience that would change his life forever, according to his website.
