Utility Pole Slices Into Truck In West Milford Crash

WEST MILFORD, N.J. -- A downed utility pole sliced through the trailer of a rental truck in a Tuesday morning crash in West Milford.

Responders said the truck snapped the pole and dragged it into a ditch off Union Valley Road near Green Brook around 8 a.m.

The driver was sitting on the guardrail and appeared fine when responders arrived, witnesses said.

Union Valley Road in that area remained closed past 10:45 a.m. while utility crews continued repairs.
