PASSAIC COUNTY, N.J. -- A Kentucky man wanted on charges of embezzlement was arrested in Virginia after spending six years in hiding on the Appalachian Trail, according to The New York Daily News.
James Hammes, 53, left his wife and daughter behind, had been hiding along the 2,200-mile trail since being accused of stealing $8.7 million from his Ohio employer in 2009. He was found after a hiker identified him from a crime show, The Daily News reported.
