POMPTON LAKES, N.J. -- Pompton Lakes officials are deciding how to properly allocate the first wave of funding from a $625,000 White House Office of National Drug Control Policy grant, according to NorthJersey.com.
The Pompton Lakes Municipal Alliance will receive $125,000 for the next five years as part of the grant. Officials are considering hiring a full-time counselor to run local drug prevention programs, NorthJersey.com reported.
Officials have reached out the members of the school board to drum up ideas to effectively use the funds, NorthJersey.com said.
