WEST MILFORD, N.J. — More than $23,000 had been raised as of Wednesday morning on a GoFundMe page for a West Milford building contractor and Wayne native battling cancer.

Frank Redl, a graduate of Wayne Hills High School and owner of S&F builders, was diagnosed with B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.

Despite the aggressive chemotherapy Redl endures to treat the tumors on his brain, his spirits have been up, page founder and friend Janine D'Andrea Del Vecchi told Daily Voice.

"It was overwhelming for [Frank] and his wife to see all of the support," Vecchi said. "They felt very alone at first. They were amazed to see how he has touched people's lives."

Redl is in his fourth round of chemotherapy and is grateful to all who have showed love and support, the page says.
