West Milford Library Celebrates Author's 100th Birthday

WEST MILFORD, N.J. -- The West Milford Township Library celebrated the 100th birthday of Beverly Cleary on Tuesday, April 12, at its DEAR program -- Drop Everything and Read.

Famed author Beverly Cleary turned 100 on April 12. Her first book was published in 1950.

DEAR "is a celebration of reading that lasts throughout the month of April, but specifically on this day to honor Beverly Cleary," the library noted in a Facebook post.

Cleary's books are available both in print and audio formats at the library.
