Ringwood Gardens Leads Two Guided Nature Walks

RINGWOOD, N.J. -- Spring nature walks are planned Saturday and Sunday at the New Jersey Botanical Garden in Ringwood.A Spring Wildflower Walk takes place at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 21 with Darlene Nowak and Sandy Zenkel.

Participants will check out spring bloomers in the Wildflower Garden. Wear sturdy shoes. Everyone will meet at the Carriage House. 

Rain cancels. Donation is $5. 

An Audubon Spring Nature Walk takes place at 10 a.m. on Sunday, May 22. 

Participants will walk the garden and fields looking for the butterflies and birds that visit NJBG on their spring migrations, as well as their favorite plants.

Everyone will meet at the Carriage House. Rain cancels. Presented by the Bergen County Audubon Society. 

Programs are free unless otherwise noted. Donations are gratefully accepted. 

For events that require reservations, or for questions, call the NJBG office at (973) 962-9534. All events begin or take place at the Carriage House Visitor Center unless otherwise specified. 

Skylands is a carry-in, carry-out State Park facility. Carry your trash and litter back out with you and dispose of it properly. 

No pets, picnics, alcohol, balls, frisbees, nor lawn games are permitted in the Botanical Garden.
