Do note that the time for this Armed Forces Week program has changed. The program is for kids 8 and older, as well as teens and adults. Kid attendees will receive free books and bracelets.

Yevchak's organization raises awareness about this other kind of soldier -- and gets care packages to them.

Donations for both two- and four-legged soldiers are welcome, but not required. You can find suggested items -- including razors and shaving cream for the former and collapsible nylon dog bowls for the latter -- here.

Register in person at the library, or by calling 973-728-2823.

The program is from 3:30-4:30 p.m. The library is located at 1490 Union Valley Rd. To keep up with library events, visit its website or follow it on Facebook.
