PASSAIC COUNTY, N.J. -- Get your red, white and blue on, Passaic County. Independence Day festivities are upon us with towns across the county gearing up to show their patriotic pride.

Friday, June 24

  • Bloomingdale: Head to Walter T. Bergen Middle School where family-friendly festivities (i.e. games and rides) start at 6 pm.; fireworks begin at dusk. Enjoy Fourth Fun: (973) 838-0778.

Friday, July 1

  • Wayne: Gates open  at 6 p.m. at Wayne Hills High School and includes bounce rides for kids as well as food by Johnny Zeppoli and music by School of Rock – Wayne!.

Saturday, July 2

  • West Milford: Festivities begin at McCormack Field at 5 p.m. with food, music, games and inflatables for kids. At 7:30 p.m., West Milford's own Jimmy the Barber and the Rockaholics take the stage, followed by the main attraction: the fireworks. Enjoy Fourth Fun: www.westmilford.org/.
Sunday, July 3
    • Clifton: Celebrating our nation's birthday begin at 1 p.m. at Main Memorial Park where food, crafts, health screenings, clowns, free activities and rides await. The fireworks display is held at the Clifton High School Stadium beginning at dusk and includes music by the Clifton Community Band beginning at 7:30 p.m. Rain date is July 4.
