POMPTON LAKES, N.J. -- St. Patrick's Day is this Friday, March 17, and Thatcher McGhee's Irish Pub, in Pompton Lakes, is again hosting its daylong festivities, starting with breakfast and ending in the wee hours.
Open for a decade now, TripAdvisor ranks the pub No. 1 of 24 restaurants in the township.
"Come join us for some shenanigans," general manager Stacie Oates told Daily Voice.
The pub has already been getting in the holiday spirit with its beverages. Earlier themed drinks were the Sour Leprechaun and Shamrock Juice, shown above. This Friday, drink specials will include the Pot O'Gold and Emerald Isle Martini.
Thatcher's will be offering both Irish and American breakfast specials from 8-10 a.m. on Friday. The Irish breakfast includes black and white pudding, Irish bacon, bangers, scrambled eggs, tomato, baked beans, and French fries.
For the less adventurous, the American breakfast includes scrambled eggs, choice of breakfast meat and toast.
At 10, the special St. Paddy's menu will be available, including corned beef and cabbage, a corned beef sandwich, Reuben, fish and chips, and a variety of sandwiches and salads.
The Fairfield and Denville locations will also run the same food specials. For more info on the pub -- including weekend menus -- visit its website or Facebook page.
