Teen Sentenced In Stabbing Death Of Dad, Beloved Jersey Shore Taxi Driver 'Moe Cabbie' A 15-year-old boy has been sentenced to 11 years of custody under the Juvenile Justice Commission in connection with the stabbing death of his dad, a popular and beloved taxi driver on the Jersey Shore. Ibrahim Khater, 15, of Brick Township, previously pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter relative to the death of Mohammed Khater, affectionately known in the area as "Moe Cabbie," according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Luis Rivas “voluntarily waived jurisdiction of the Family Court -- which typically handles juvenile delinquency matters -- and agreed to be prosecuted as an adult” for the Oct. 22 shooting about a quarter mile from Brick Memorial High School, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Toms River Teen Admits Killing Mom In Front Of Younger Brother UPDATE: A Toms River man admitted Friday that he killed his mother in front of his younger brother late last summer. Edgar Diaz, 18, of Manchester, pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter in Superior Court in Toms River in exchange for a 20-year prison term at a scheduled March 6 sentencing. He'll have to serve 17 years of that sentence before he'll be eligible for parole under New Jersey's No Early Release Act.
