A well-known barber was attacked in his Cliffside Park shop by a stranger, said authorities who are trying to identify his assailant. The attacker entered The Way Barber Shop on Anderson Avenue across from the NJ TRANSIT bus garage shortly after 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 2, Cliffside Park Deputy Police Chief Vincent Capano said. Out-Of-State Man Charged With Sexually Assaulting Cliffside Park Children
A former New Jersey resident was brought back to Bergen County after authorities charged him with sexually assaulting two minors nearly a decade ago. Eduardo Camacho, 29, of Cleveland was ordered held in the Bergen County Jail pending court action. Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said members of his Special Victims Unit and Cliffside Park police found that Camacho raped a pre-teen at least five times and another victim between 13 and 16 at least once in May 2014, all in the borough. A drunken man who put his fist through a Guatemalan restaurant window bled all over Cliffside Park police while trying to fight them, authorities said. Marcus Camargo Machado, a 39-year-old Brazilian national who lives in Palisades Park, recorded a staggering .327 blood-alcohol level, Deputy Police Chief Vincent Capano said.
