Drug buyers flocked from inside and out of Paterson to a squat apartment house in the Silk City as detectives watched.
After picking off several buyers, police moved in, seizing three dealers – one of them only 16 years old.

Paterson detectives seized hundreds of Oxycodone pills, a handgun and nearly $25,000 in profits while busting a high-level street dealer who operated up the block from a city school, authorities said.
Alexander Roller-Huarotte, 30, was previously charged in a 2015 home invasion in which the wrong family was victimized.
Earlier this month, city Narcotics Division detectives learned that he was "distributing large quantities of Oxycodone tablets," Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale said Friday.

Paterson Police Officer Charged With Assault, Misconduct
A Paterson police officer beat a victim with his fist and a flashlight, kneed him in the face, then filed a bogus report about it, authorities charged.
Spencer Finch, 44, of Mahwah assaulted the victim on May 26, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said Friday without identifying where or under what circumstances.
“The aggravated assault took place while the defendant was on-duty and in uniform,” Valdes said.
“The defendant then prepared, signed, and submitted a police report describing the incident that contained several false statements,” she added.

Paterson Man, 46, Charged With Sexually Abusing Three Young Children
A Paterson man was charged with sexually abusing three different children going back more than a decade, authorities said.
One victim, now an adult, reported being abused at 11 years old by Richard Solis, 46, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes said Wednesday.
Another, now 15, reported being sexually assaulted by Solis while only 5, the prosecutor said.
Solis also is accused of sexually abusing a 3 year old, she said.
