Woman Killed, 6-Year-Old Boy Critically Injured Crossing Wayne Road WAYNE, N.J. -- A woman was dead and a 6-year-old boy in surgery after they were struck Tuesday night while crossing the same Wayne road where another woman was killed a day earlier. The pair were crossing Valley Road at Birchwood Terrace around 7 p.m. when they were struck by a four-door Chevy Impala, authorities said.
