Gas Leak Clears Half-Dozen Hawthorne Homes Six Hawthorne homes were evacuated Saturday morning after a gas main leak. A Fire Department engine and Special Operations Unit and a PSE&G crew responded to the 9:30 a.m. 6th Avenue leak between Utter and Rea streets. No injuries were reported.
