OLD TAPPAN, N.J. — The Old Tappan High School men's track team made history Wednesday night when it won the state title in the 4X400 relay at the State Meet of Champions in Bayville.

The title is the first in school history. Team's time of 3:15.43 is the second fastest in Bergen County history.

The 4X400 relay team is comprised of seniors Andrew Schumacher, Joseph Jordan, William Rienas and Thomas Rienas.

"It was a fitting ending for a group of boys that have run together for 4 years," said Old Tappan Coach Peter Dunn. "They ran the race of their lives on Wednesday night and competed with a ton of heart. We are really proud of them."

The men's track team also won the state sectional title this year.
