Sources: Illegal card game led to Fairview shooting death

UPDATE: Investigators were pursuing several suspects in the shooting death of a 50-year-old Fairview man during what sources said was an illegal card game, CLIFFVIEW PILOT has confirmed.

The victim died in surgery after being shot around 10:45 last night at a residence on Walker Street at the corner of Third Street.

Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli identified the victim as Jeronimo Lopez.

No one had been charged as of early this afternoon.
