'RoBber' Swipes $5,000 From Norwood Bank

NORWOOD, N.J. -- Seeking the public's help, Norwood police released surveillance photos of a man who fled with roughly $5,000 from a local bank late Monday afternoon.

He walked in, held up the note and fled with the cash, responders said.

The robber walked into the Chase Bank at Broadway and Livingston Avenue around 4:50 p.m., held up a piece of paper that said "RoBBER" and fled with the cash, responders said.

He didn't say a word or show a weapon, they said.

The FBI was investigating along with Norwood police. The Bergen County Sheriff's Bureau of Criminal Identification collected evidence.

He was described as about 6 feet tall and 225 to 250 pounds.
