Sgt. Thomas Smith stopped the vehicle on Sunset Avenue around 10:30 a.m., Lt. Michael Gracey said.

A quick check found that the driver -- identified as 27-year-old Shawn Buckley -- was on the suspended list and wanted on a warrant out of Union County, Gracey said.

A Bergen County Sheriff's K-9 unit was summoned and indicated drugs in the van, the lieutenant said.

Buckley and passenger David Boralski were processed at headquarters and taken to the Bergen County Jail -- Buckley on $25,000 bail and Boralski on $2,500.

Both are charged with heroin possession.

Buckley also is charged with distribution of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia.
