Harrington Park PD: Northvale Man Gets Out, Walks Home After Car Hits House

HARRINGTON PARK, N.J. -- A Northvale man whose car slid on ice and hit four other vehicles, pushing one of them into the garage of a Harrington Park private home -- where it struck another car -- got out and walked home before police arrived, authorities said Tuesday.

The driver then went to HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley for treatment after his car slid down Lohs Place into the First Street driveway around 3 a.m., Police Chief Albert Maalouf told Daily Voice.

Detectives were applying for a warrant to obtain blood to determine his intoxication level, the chief said.
