Frederick M. Weintraub had been dealing with charges in Bergen County of fondling a patient’s breasts and making inappropriate sexual comments to staff working at assisted-living residences when he was busted selling scripts for cash in the parking lot of a New City hotel, authorities said.
New Jersey authorities who revoked Weintraub's license last year said he'd been practicing without one -- a charge that he disputed.
Northvale police arrested and charged Weintraub on Oct. 25, 2012 after a patient at Alpine Northern Valley Podiatry reported that he fondled her breasts before a routine podiatry exam.
The state Board of Medical Examiners held a hearing two months later and suspended his license in January 2013.
At the time, state authorities said Weintraub also was accused of touching the breasts of a staff member at an assisted living residence where he was providing podiatric services.
That charge was dropped as part of his agreement with the medical examiners' decision last year to revoke Weintraub's license and ban him from ever applying for one again.
In the New York federal case, Weintraub pleaded guilty in August in U.S. District Court in White Plains to illegally selling drugs.
