Closter schools business administrator charged with DWI

A voice message was left for Iappelli, 32, of Closter, at his district office this afternoon at the request of a board secretary.

Records show that Norwood police stopped Iappelli’s car just before midnight the night of March 15 after an alert went out to area police with the vehicle’s description.

A dispatcher issued the alert after receiving a call from the country club following an argument that allegedly ensued when valets asked the apparently intoxicated business administrator not to take his vehicle as he left the annual Closter PTO dinner dance, a police report shows.

Norwood Officer Michael Getto stopped the car at 11:58 a.m. as it headed south on Livingston Avenue, records show.
