Bergenfield man charged in sex assault on boy, 5, in 2000

YOU READ IT HERE FIRST: A 59-year-old kitchen worker from Bergenfield is charged with inappropriately touching a 5-year-old boy a dozen years ago.

Jorge Molina of East Clinton Avenue is being held on $200,000 bail in the Bergen County Jail, chargd with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and child endangerment.

The boy, now 17, “recently reported the allegation to law enforcement authorities,” Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said this afternoon.

An investigation by Bergenfield police and Molinelli’s Special Victims Unit followed, he said.

Molina, who is single, is employed as a kitchen worker at a Norwood nursing home, records show.

He is scheduled for an appearance in Bergenfield Municipal Court on Wednesday.
