John F. Foley, 79, Northvale Resident

NORTHVALE, N.J. -- Northvale resident John F. Foley died on Monday, Feb. 15. He was 79.

An Army Reserve veteran, Foley worked for Sears in White Plains as a TV repairman for many years, before retiring. He had belonged to the Knights of Columbus, in Bergenfield.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Gena (Martinelli); children Lisa Keogh of Northvale, Daniel Foley of Norwood, and Gena Barsa and husband James of Norwood; grandchildren Nicole, Kerri, Kaitlin, Jamie, Kelly, Adrianna and Lauren; sister Carol Casey of Queens; sister-in-law Mary DiPalma of the Bronx; and many nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 19, at Pizzi Funeral Home, 120 Paris Ave., in Northvale. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, at St. Anthony’s Church, in Northvale, with interment to follow at Rockland Cemetery, in Sparkill, New York.
