Police, firefighters, elected and district officials, as well as teachers, coaches and other leaders will staff game booths from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, giving the community "the chance to see the faces that make our town the amazing place that it is," the all-volunteer Norwood Public Schools Parent Teacher Organization said.
The carnival is also at a new location -- Kennedy Field at 453 Broadway -- and organizers are expecting huge success.
There will be a variety of special booths, including sand art (sponsored by the Norwood Education Association) and face painting and glitter tattoos by Colors the Clown and friends.
La Casa Formoso, Ragazzi Restaurant & Lounge and Gina’s Food will offer an array of traditional carnival fare and Italian cuisine.
Proceeds will go toward educational enrichment -- including science, technology, art and music programs and equipment, classroom enhancements, community events and more.
Sponsors include The Buckingham at Norwood, Crestron, Impact Zone and Performance Health. For a full list of sponsors, click here: www.norwoodpto.com.
