"If you love rock climbing, come join us at High Exposure Climbing in Northvale, New Jersey," organizers note.
"Meet with other climbers around the area to top-rope, boulder, obstacle train, learn and share beta. Be a part of a climbing community where we can climb, have fun, chill and build friendships."
The "Climb and Wine" sessions will be on Mondays and Thursdays, from 8-10 p.m. Folks need to be at least 21 and bring ID if they want to partake in the wine aspect.
The cost -- which includes wine and cheese while you train -- is $10 for non-members. If you need to rent gear, the cost is $4 for a harness, $4 for climbing shoes, $2 for a chalk bag only or $7 for all three.
Would-be climbers need to sign a waiver before coming: do so here. Folks are also encouraged to sign up through the Meetup site, so organizers can have a sense of who's coming.
"It's about community, athleticism and gaining self-confindence," High Exposure manager Gabrielle Brick told Daily Voice.
The gym is located at 266 Union St., in Northvale. For more info about the facility, visit its website or Facebook page.
