Authorities on Wednesday captured one of a group of men who they said purposely shot and killed a 22-year-old Paterson woman last fall. Ex-con Christopher Thomas, 26, of Hackensack was charged with murder and weapons offenses, as well as with conspiracy, for his role in gunning down Mary “Tink” Taylor on Oct. 1, 2023 outside a bar across from the apartment building where she lived with her mom. A Paterson resident was charged with attempted murder this week after shooting two men on a city street corner in late January, authorities announced. Ghost Gunman Who Killed Home Invader Released From Jail In South Jersey: Prosecutor
A 24-year-old Cumberland County man charged with multiple gun crimes after he shot and killed an alleged home invader was ordered released from jail on Friday afternoon, March 1, authorities said. Kevin Lucero, 24, shot one of two people who reportedly forced their way into his Upper Deerfield home at 7:15 p.m. on Feb. 19, New Jersey State Police said. Ishmeal "Rico" Coleman, 46, of the Salem Lafayette Gardens housing complex was found guilty of murder and multiple weapons offenses in the Aug. 12, 2018 stabbing death of Takeela Wilson, 38, in her home in the 300 block of Forrest Street.
