A 25-year-old Atlantic City driver was under the influence when he struck another vehicle, leaving a pair of newlyweds dead early Saturday, Feb. 22 in Cumberland County, according to state police, court records, and those who knew the victims. Newly-Released Bodycam Footage Shows DUI Arrest Of Sean Higgins After Gaudreau Brothers' Deaths
CBS Philadelphia has released bodycam footage showing the moments leading up to the DUI arrest of Sean Higgins, who struck and killed NHL player Johnny Gaudreau and his brother Matthew on Aug. 29, 2024, in New Jersey. The 9-minute, 37-second video, obtained from the New Jersey State Police, captures 43-year-old Higgins, of Woodstown, being walked through field sobriety tests by officers. During the interaction, Higgins admits to consuming five to six beers since noon that day. Racing BMW Driver, 20, Crashes, Injures Young Family On Route 3: Police
A BMW driver is facing multiple charges after crashing and injuring a family of four on Route 3 on Thursday, Oct. 3, authorities said. Hamza M. Abdelaziz, 20, of Clifton, was racing in a 2023 black BMW 540 when he struck the Fair Lawn family's vehicle on the Berry’s Creek Bridge in the eastbound lanes in Rutherford, just prior to the East Rutherford border around 1:10 p.m., Rutherford Police Chief John Russo said. Drunk Morris County Man Charged With Assault By Auto In Route 10 Crash: Police
A Morris County man was charged with assault by auto and several other offenses following a serious crash on Route 10, authorities said. Bryan Ramirez, 36, was intoxicated and using his cell phone when he caused a crash with injuries on Route 10 west in Denville on Sunday, June 5, Denville Police said. Ramirez, of Dover, was arrested and charged with assault by auto, DWI, reckless driving, careless driving, use of cellphone, and unsafe lane change, police said. He was later released to a sober adult and is scheduled to appear in court.

Videos Show Cause Of Rt. 17 Tractor-Trailer Crash That Ejected Passenger, Rochelle Park PD Says
UPDATE: A rollover crash that ejected a passenger Friday morning on northbound Route 17 in Rochelle Park occurred when a tractor-trailer clipped the back of the sedan, surveillance video obtained by Daily Voice shows. Park Avenue Auto Group supplied the videos, first to police and then to Daily Voice. The 62-year-old tractor-trailer driver from Montgomery, N.Y. received three summonses -- for careless driving, tailgating and making an unsafe lane change, Rochelle Park Police Lt. Dean Pinto.
