Mahwah PD: EMS Worker Fired Over KKK Incident Nabbed With Loaded Gun
A security guard at a Route 17 truck stop was carrying a loaded handgun and wearing clothing that suggested he was a police officer, said Mahwah police who arrested him. The defendant, 58-year-old Timothy M. Prahm of Secaucus, was one of three UMDNJ paramedics fired in 2008 after photos surfaced of them dressed as members of the KKK and holding a large wooden cross. Paramus Girl, Beloved Teacher Killed In Route 80 School Bus Crash
UPDATE: A young female student and a beloved teacher were confirmed dead Thursday morning after a school bus filled with Paramus fifth-graders collided with a dump truck on Route 80 in Morris County. A total of 38 students and seven adults, including the driver, were taken to area hospitals, authorities said. Some were in critical condition and undergoing surgery, they said. The teacher, 51-year-old Jennifer M. Williamson, was a longtime Paramus native who taught in the district for nearly 20 years.
