‘He Fought Until The End:’ Beloved Dad, NJ Hotdog Shop Owner Vin Russo Dies After COVID Battle Beloved father and NJ hotdog shop owner Vin Russo died Friday, Feb. 4 following a courageous and valiant battle with COVID-19. Russo, who owns Joe’s Alpha Dogs at the Port Colden Mall in Washington with his wife, Frances, was admitted to the hospital with virus complications on Sunday, Jan. 9, according to a GoFundMe launched for the family. Keen-Eyed Dispatcher Nabs Woman Stealing From Wayne PD Toys For Tots Donation Bin: Authorities A Paterson woman waiting to meet someone in the lobby of the Wayne police station was busted by a keen-eyed dispatcher stealing more than $155 worth of toys from the "Toys for Tots" donation bin. Rasha Elsayed was captured on security cameras exiting the lobby to the corridor of the Town Hall and remove 10 different toys from the bins on Friday, Dec. 3 around 5 p.m., Police Chief Jack McNiff said. Toys for Tots is an annual holiday toy drive that collects gifts for less fortunate children. Elsayed was arrested and charged with theft, then released on a summons in accordance with bail refor…

Former Teaneck Mayor Francis E. Hall Dies, 94 Former Teaneck mayor and councilman Francis "Frank" E. Hall died April 16. He was 94 years old. Although he will not make it to the birthday party he had planned for this coming Saturday, he wisely threw himself a 95th birthday party two years ago when he turned 93 to hedge his bets.  Hall was born in Englewood to the late Francis E. Hall and Adele (nee Colwell), and grew up in Ridgefield Park. After graduating from Ridgefield Park High School, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in the Pacific Theater of World War II. He saw combat in Guadalcanal, Bougainvill…
